Well, well... It's another amazing year... And just
like any other Christmases, our family focuses on the Reason of the season and His mighty moving in our lives..
Work, Work, Work
No, we are not complaining... In fact, we are grateful that both of us are very much
employed and occupied! During the last quarter of this year, Olwin was assigned to
handle sales activities at Jet Airways.
Caleb's Firsts
This year, Caleb had his first trips to Manila (April) and Bombay (November). It was
a joyful moment for both our families to spend quality time with Caleb. He played with his cousins, met his uncles and
aunts, and visited new places.

Caleb is engrossed watching the animated movies "Cars" and "Up". He is also in the
process of potty training - and he's getting used to saying "kaka" to relieve himself...

Yes, by this time (December) - Cherrie had just completed her halfway mark! She is 20
weeks pregnant (5 months). Earlier this year, we thought of putting Caleb into playschool. But because of the news and
outbreak of H1N1, we decided to delay it. We saw how excited he was around other children and it would be nice to have another
sibling around so we started praying about it last March. In August, we found out that Cherrie was pregnant! No, we don't
know if we are having a boy or girl - we don't want to know... We just want to thank God for our new baby to
come and please remember to pray for a healthy baby and safe delivery.

Typhoon Ketsana
Īt was a deja vu... but
the damage was worse than the flood in 1998. Cherrie's home in Marikna, Philippines was flooded knee-high up to the 2nd
floor.
It was a total disaster for Cherrie's parents - but God's
gracious hands kept them safe and constantly provided for their needs. This event saw lots of love, compassion
and support from everyone our family knew - most especially relatives all around the globe, churchmates and friends
in Manila, colleagues and friends in Dubai. Inspite of the situation, the smiles on the wrinkled faces of Cherrie's dad
and mom (now 66 and 79 years old) never faded... now that's the spirit and faith that we hope we remember to replicate everyday
of our lives. And yes, they're doing great and in the process of restoring and repairing the house.
*******************
It's not about us... but it's about THE One who died for
us, who saved us from eternal damnation and conquered death that we may have life.
And just like in the past years, we say that we do not know what the future
holds - but we know WHO holds our future... And that keeps our family hopeful and at peace - knowing that Jesus is in
control of our lives.
We share that hope and peace to YOU. Our family wishes you and your family the
spirit of love and joy this season. Happy Holidays!!!
Love,
Olwin, Cherrie and Caleb Lobo
P.S. Next year is going to be another great adventure - so let's keep in touch!
Send us your greetings
Luke 2:9-12
And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were
filled with fear. (10) And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy that
will be for all the people. (11) For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. (12)
And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger."
